Valentine’s Sweet Treats Breakfast

 

Every year around Valentine’s Day, our church has a “sweet treat” activity for the kids.  For the past few years, it’s been in the evening.  This year it was a breakfast with a few activities thrown in.  We had lots of fun.

This year for Valentine’s Day we gave the kids a few “small” things.  Each child got a small stuffed dog with “I love you” or a heart on it.  DJ got 2 lollipops and Grace got this LARGE Hershey kiss.  Payten was happy with just the dog this year, but I’m sure next year she will enjoy a treat too!

Payten is 8 months old!!!!

 

Payten actually turned 8 months on Tuesday, but because she has been sick, this morning was the first chance I got to snap her picture!!!! 
She is really crawling now and pulling herself up everywhere she can.  She just started waving bye-bye.  It is adorable!!!!  She LOVES to eat whole peas and has them at almost every meal (though carrots are a close second)!

Mommy is still the favorite, but mostly just when tired or hungry.

This is a bittersweet time for me.  I love seeing Payten growing and changing.  I love that she is crawling and moving around, but she is not my little tiny baby anymore.  She is getting bigger and changing.  One great thing about this time is that she is content to be playing on the floor because she can get around on her own.  For months she was my little dinner buddy, sitting in her Bumbo on the counter while I was cooking supper.  Now she is either playing in the living room or sitting in the high chair eating her supper.

 

I love her adorable smile and those chubby cheeks.

We couldn’t resist taking some pictures of DJ last night.  He was all dressed up and playing the piano.  I am not sure he will appreciate these pictures when he is older, but it’s sure funny now!!!!!
