200

I have been blogging for a little less that 2 years.

This is my 200th post!!!!

Things have been soooo crazy here the last few weeks.

I am VERY behind in my blogging..... 3 weeks into November and not a single blog.

I am hoping to change that in the next few days..... stay tuned.

Payten Joins Us For Dinner

Dinners as a family with a new baby can be difficult and stressful.

Some nights we eat in shifts - because the adults can wait and the kids can't.

Payten is now old enough and strong enough to sit in the high chair.

So, on this night, she joined us at the dinner table...... and enjoyed herself.

Playground

We had a playdate with one of the girls from Grace's kindergarten class.

Grace was sooooo excited. DJ attempting the wiggly bridge.

He's not too sure.

Katelin on the twisty slide.

DJ trying to be like his big sister.

I had to watch DJ carefully. He would go head first down the slide. If I wasn't there, he'd fly off. Thankfully I caught him the first time.

The uninjured face.

This was a fun bouncy thing.

The injured face. He was running down a hill and did a face plant on the dirt and rocks. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's pretty swollen tonight.

Payten fell asleep.

So cute!!!

Grape Jelly

The Grapes..... I washed them and took them off the stems........
Then I added water and started cooking them on the stove.

After they started to heat, I used my Pampered Chef potato masher and squoosed them all up!After they simmered for 10 minutes.

The canner filled and ready to heat!

Getting ready to de-seed and de-skin......

The first juice

Grace cranking away.

Look at all the yummy juice.

Domenic gets in on the action.

Wiping away the seeds and skin.

(I remember doing that as a kids - with tomatoes!)

I got a little hard to turn.....

Working hard

Watching the progress

I realized after the fact that I forgot to get pictures of filling the jars. So just picture me filling the jars using a ladle and wide mouth funnel to fill the jars with yummy jelly. (Oh and cooking the juice with the sugar and pectin.)

I made 13 jelly jars and one BIG mason jar!!!! I think we are set for a while.

OH and it is very yummy!!!!!!!
