Week 38

I can't believe I am 38 weeks pregnant. Where did the last 8 months go?

I am definitely at the HUGE stage.

Getting up, bending, lifting..... it all takes extra effort - but soooo worth it.

I can't believe that in days we could be meeting our new little one.

Is he having fun or what???

"School"

Because the weather has been warmer, we haven't been doing school as consistently as we did over the winter. But when it's rainy, as it has been for the past week, the kids always ask to do school.

At the beginning of the year, we started with a VERY thick book. It is now quite skinny. I am amazed at all the kids have learned and retained. It is so exciting.

Today we talked about senses.....

Beginning word sounds (which they love and are great at)!!!!

And we reviewed the letter E.

37 Weeks

Well, I am at the 37 week mark. So hard to believe.

Today I am not feeling the best - but it could be tiredness. DJ has been sick for the past few weeks, so he has been getting up in the night. Therefore, mom and dad are up in the night and mom has trouble going back to sleep.

Baby girl should be weighing in at just over 6 pounds.

I am starting to get excited about who she will look like and what her coloring will be.

Things could happen any time now - so stay tuned....

36 weeks

Well, here is the 36 week belly.

I can't believe it!

But I can feel it.

I am more tired and uncomfortable.

Everything takes more time and extra effort.

BUT it is soooooo worth it.

I can't wait to meet this precious little girl God has given us!

35 Weeks

This is the 35 week belly.

It's getting more difficult for me to get up and maneuver.

BUT baby is moving and elbowing and kicking away.

She's been getting the hiccups daily now.

It's such a strange feeling to have your belly jumping from hiccups!!

Grace still loves to poke at my belly and find her. DJ doesn't understand when we try to explain there's a baby in there. He just likes to blow raspberries on my bare belly - so cute!

Every Easter we try to get a family picture - though you will see we missed one. I thought it would be fun to see how our family has grown and changed through the years.

Little Mud Boy

DJ is like his sister in many ways:

He loves to MOVE!
He loves to be outside.
He loves his doggie blanket.
He loves candy.
He loves to rough house with daddy.
He loves to play with mud.

But he is different too....

He likes to eat mud.

I wonder if this is just a boy thing???
