Making Chirstmas Ornaments

This year since our "purse is a little light." Grace and I are making some Christmas ornaments as gifts. I'm never sure how she will react with projects, but she is loving this one. Yesterday, we made the dough and cut out and baked the ornaments. Today and tomorrow and maybe the next day is the painting and decorating process. We got about half done today. For a four year old with a short attention span, she did great. Though she needed a bath when we were done.

Decorating the Tree

Finally, I was able to get the pictures uploaded. Grace and DJ had fun decorating the tree this year. It turned out great!

Troubles...

For those of you wondering if the tree ever gets decorated. YES it does. I've been trying to update this blog, but am having trouble uploading pictures. I will keep trying!!!!!

Putting Up the Tree

For many reasons we have an artificial Christmas tree. So, it has become tradition to set the tree up as a family. This year Grace was really into it and did a wonderful job.

She needed help to reach as the branches got higher and higher, but that was part of the fun.

Going For A Walk

This past Saturday was GORGEOUS. Domenic had been gone all week and the kids couldn't get enough of him. So he loaded DJ up in the backpack and Grace had her bucket (for treasures) and they took off to explore. They were gone about an hour and a half. I enjoyed some quiet and was able to eat lunch without any little beggars!

Camp Fire

Grace has been asking to roast marshmallows and hot dogs outside for a while. This past Saturday we FINALLY were able to. It was a warm November day and perfect for a fire, though it got dark VERY fast! We all enjoyed supper outside by the fire.
